“El Desocultamiento de las Pruebas: La Poesia de Bill Mohr y Su Traduccion en Mexico”

Jose Luis Rico wrote an introduction to the book of my poems that Bonobos Editores published last Spring. I am incredibly grateful both to him and Robin Myers for their willingness to champion my writing. I also profoundly appreciate the steadfast determination of Amelia Suarez at Bonobos Editores in securing the funding for the book’s publication from the Mexican government’s equivalent of the National Endowment for the Arts.

Pruebas Ocultas: Antologia poetica is difficult to obtain in the United States, and I am hoping to figure out a way to publish a version of this book in the United States. Not all of the poems that Jose and Robin translated ended up being Pruebas Ocultas, and perhaps an expanded bi-lingual edition might prove to be a feasible project. In the meantime, Jose Luis Rico’s essay might be of interest to those bored with the fashion show of much contemporary, mainstream verse in the United States.
